HARTFORD, Conn. — The Hartford Yard Goats have been named Minor League Baseball’s Organization of the Year, another timely milestone for the baseball club that debuted in the playoffs this season.
The MiLB honored the Yard Goats at its Business Summit in Charlotte, North Carolina on Tuesday. The Double-A team was selected among the 120 minor-league teams across the country and Canada. Peers from each league – Triple-A, Double-A, High-A and Single-A – selected the nominees.
“We are absolutely honored to receive this prestigious award from Minor League Baseball,” Yard Goats President Tim Restall said. “This speaks volumes about our loyal fans, partners and employees.
