Toronto-based prop designer and builder Tim McElcheran

is retiring after 50 years in the

business and selling all of his work.

Tim McElcheran is photographed with a few props at his workshop at in Toronto’s Junction neighbourhood. McElcheran has spent a lifetime making props and special effects for film and television. Now nearing 70, he’s retiring, and getting rid of his “gack.”
