Head-on crash involving tanker truck kills 2 people in Ontario [Video]

A head-on crash between a tanker truck and a passenger vehicle in Ontario has left two people dead, police say.

Ontario Provincial Police said it happened on Highway 63 near Highway 533, which is northeast of North Bay.

Emergency crews responded at around 8 a.m. on Monday.

The two occupants of the passenger vehicle died at the scene.

Police said identification efforts are ongoing for one of the victims.

The truck driver wasn’t injured, police said.

Highway 63 was closed in the area for around seven hours after the collision.

There is no word on the cause.
