Counsellors will be at Stellarton, N.S. schools this week to provide support to students, after the death of a 15-year-old in an early morning crash.
Stellarton Police Service says the teen was killed driving a car that collided with a power pole and a tree early Thursday.
The collision happened at 4:15 a.m. on Bridge Avenue, near MacKay Street.
“We at Chignecto Central Regional Centre for Education (CCRCE) were heartbroken by the recent terrible news of the tragic passing of one of our students,” CCRCE wrote in a statement to Global News.
“We send our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and community impacted by this tragedy. Psychology services and student support will be onsite at local schools impacted today and tomorrow to provide any needed support.”
