Heat warning in GTA, could feel as hot as 40 C | Canada Tonight [Video]

Environment Canada says a prolonged heat event and ‘dangerously hot and humid conditions’ are expected through most of the week, with temperatures over 30 C. Caroline Metz, managing director at Intact Centre on Climate Adaptation, encourages cities to implement ‘passive cooling’ as an alternative to air conditioning — which she says ultimately leads to more environmental heat problems.
