UPDATE: The winter weather travel advisory was updated to exclude Mississauga, Brampton and Toronto. These areas will still get snow but Environment Canada is now forecasting about two cm. Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Caledon and Durham Region are still part of the advisory.

A winter weather travel advisory is in effect for southern Ontario due to heavy snowfall expected Friday.
Total snowfall accumulations of five to 10 cm are expected in Toronto, Mississauga and Brampton, according to the advisory from Environment and Climate Change Canada.
Up to 14 cm is expected in Durham Region where the snow is expected to fall at rates of two to four cm per hour.
More snow is expected in areas north of the GTA. Up to 20 cm could fall in cottage country, which is under a snowfall warning.
Halton Region, Hamilton and Niagara are not included in the advisory.
