A long weekend is a great time to get out and explore Ontario — if the weather cooperates.

The GTA had its biggest snowfall of the season this week, which closed schools, cancelled flights and slowed traffic. And more snow is on the way.

Another 10 cm of snow could fall on both Saturday and Sunday for the Toronto area, as well as in Barrie, according to The Weather Network.

Temperatures are expected to remain below zero all weekend with the coldest day on Monday, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada.

Those heading out for a Valentine’s Day dinner on Friday will want to bundle up —  the low drops down to -8 C in Mississauga, Brampton, Toronto and Halton Region. It could go down to -10 C in Durham Region. There is also a chance of flurries Friday evening.
