Hershey Bears vs. Laval Rocket game preview: Ethan Bear set for milestone night [Video]

LAVAL, QC — The Hershey Bears (25-11-3-0) begin a three-game Canadian road trip tonight at Place Bell against the Laval Rocket (23-11-2-1), marking their only regular-season visit to Quebec.

The Bears enter the contest following a 5-4 victory over Rochester on Sunday, where Jon McDonald scored his first AHL goal to break a 3-3 tie at 5:58 of the third period. Grant Cruikshank added what proved to be the game-winning goal on an unassisted breakaway at 10:53. Clay Stevenson secured his fifth straight win with 29 saves.

“I mean, Sauns [Brennan Saulnier] made a great play and I was in the right spot and I got a little lucky [shooting] glove-side,” McDonald said of his milestone goal. “Everybody was thrilled for me; I don’t really do too well with the praise, so I was trying to fight it off.”
