Homeowner Tried To Give Bathroom ‘Quick Face-Lift’Things Escalate Quickly [Video]

A video about a simple bathroom update that spiraled into a major renovation has gone viral on YouTube.

Kristy Letterly, a 33-year-old DIY content creator based in Arizona, detailed the ordeal in a clip posted on her YouTube channel @designingparkside. The clip has garnered more than 1.5 million views since it was shared on April 6.

The video was meant to document a straightforward update of her guest bathroom. But as Letterly says in the footage, “My quick face-lift turned into a complete gut job.”

“This bathroom was outdated, and all of the finishes were original to the home. This is our guest bathroom that isn’t used very often, but we had guests coming to stay, so my original plan was to just ‘spruce it up’ a bit,” Letterly told Newsweek.

But plans changed quickly. “I made the mistake of thinking I could give this bathroom a quick face-lift, and things escalated pretty quickly,” she says in the clip.
