A video capturing a hot air balloon landing that “doesn’t go quite as planned” in Laos has taken the internet by storm.

The video was posted by @caitlinaranha and has garnered 3.1 million views since it was posted on February 28. The footage was captured in Vang Vieng, a town in the northwest region of Laos.

Text overlaid on the video sets the tone, saying: “When your hot air balloon landing doesn’t go quite as planned.”

The clip opens with workers sprinting across an open field, attempting to secure the balloon’s ropes as it descends. A view from onboard the balloon shows passengers crouching behind the basket as it collides with a tree branch. The clip ends with a shot of a couple on the ride appearing stunned by the experience.
