Housing affordability is a top issue among young Ontario voters, according to a new survey.

Residents head to the polls for Ontario’s 44th general election on Thursday, Feb. 27

Progressive Conservative leader Doug Ford, NDP leader Marit Stiles, Liberal leader Bonnie Crombie and Green Party leader Mike Schreiner are in the running.

Housing is top of mind for many Ontario residents in this election, according to a recent Royal LePage survey, conducted by Hill & Knowlton.

A total of 69 per cent of adults in Ontario say that a party or candidate’s position on tackling the current housing supply and affordability crisis will influence their vote, the survey found.

The issue is more important for younger people with 72 per cent of Generation Z and 75 per cent of millennials naming housing as a top concern. It is also important for renters (73 per cnet), and those planning to purchase a home within the next two …
