Over the past two years, more than one hundred people have paid between $30,000 and $150,000 for a five-week addiction rehab program at Muskoka Recovery which, like all private rehabs in Ontario, is unregulated. In part one, clients told the Star how the programs did not live up to the promises. In part two, we go behind the doors to see what was really happening. 

Clinical director Damien Delaney was struggling. He was having a hard time fixing sheets of cardboard to the big windows that looked out on the Muskoka Recovery parking lot.
