Hunt for stolen vehicle ends with an arrest at Dawson Creek Walmart [Video]

DAWSON CREEK –A Dawson Creek woman is grateful to get her stolen car back, undamaged and within 20 minutes of reporting it stolen.

Police say she left it running unattended Tuesday morning around 8am. A male noticed the car was unoccupied, so he allegedly jumped in and sped off.

A few minutes later, police spotted the stolen vehicle on Highway 2, returning from Pouce Coupe. RCMP say, there was a police cruiser ahead of the car and another cruiser behind it.

When the lead cruiser pulled to the side of the highway, police say for some reason so did the suspect. When the man noticed the second cruiser pull in behind him, he sped off again.

This time he stopped in the Walmart parking lot and left the car running while he entered the store. Police allege the man then stole some clothes and changed out of his old …
