Hydro crews in Ontario still working to restore power after ice storm [Video]

Local hydro crews are continuing to assist Hydro One with power restoration following the devastating ice storms that impacted communities across Ontario more than a week ago, leaving nearly 70,000 customers still without power as of Sunday afternoon.

A five-person Oshawa Power crew, supported by two bucket trucks, was on-site most of last week in the northeast Clarington area working with local Hydro One crews.

The team, which remains on standby for reassignment to other affected regions as needed, were redeployed over the weekend to support ice storm cleanup and restoration efforts in the Peterborough area.
