As of February 18, CBC News Network has introduced ian Hanomansing as the new host of its live prime-time segment.This role follows the Also to be considered: of “Power & Politics,” marking a critically important change in the network’s lineup.

Based in Vancouver, “Hanomansing Tonight” will air from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET on weekdays, transitioning smoothly into “The National.” This program is particularly timely, focusing on the intricate dynamics of U.S.-canada relations, the challenges of rising living costs, and the upcoming federal election.

Hanomansing will also continue hosting CBC radio’s “Cross Country Checkup” and the Sunday edition of “The National.” Despite the familiar format, the Vancouver base will bring fresh perspectives and stories, especially from British Columbia and Alberta.
