IHIT investigating disappearance of Chantelle Moore in Langley, B.C. [Video]

What began as a Metro Vancouver missing person case has turned into a homicide investigation.

The Lower Mainland’s Integrated Homicide Investigation Team announced Thursday that new information has come to light suggesting 34-year-old Chantelle Moore, who disappeared two months ago, may have met with foul play.

Moore was last seen at a hotel in Langley in late October, according to a statement from IHIT.

She was reported missing to the Surrey RCMP when her family had lost contact with her for an extended period, the statement said.

Mounties in neighbouring Langley assisted with a “robust” investigation into her whereabouts before “recent information” suggested her disappearance is suspicious, IHIT said.

The Langley RCMP issued a plea for assistance in finding the missing woman on Nov. 18.

The notice described Moore as a white woman standing 5’7″ tall and weighing 90 pounds. She has a slender build and blonde hair, police said.
