Hello and welcome to Made in Manitoba as we look ahead to National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30th. We’re proud to have Winnipeg’s Indian City joining us tonight for a return to our weekly spotlight.

The group has released a new album titled “Tomorrow”. This is the first project for the group after its former leader and founder Vince Fontaine passed away unexpectedly in 2022. Vince’s daughter, Gabrielle Fontaine, has taken on the role of leading the band, and wrote most of the songs for the new album, which includes one her father recorded before his passing.

It’s the next generation for Indian City, and that’s something Gabrielle will talk about during our conversation tonight. We’ll also discuss what National Day for Truth and Reconciliation means to her, and how the creative work of Indian City is moving that conversation forward.

This is Made in Manitoba, featuring the latest album “Tomorrow” from Indian City.
