A post highlighting the surprisingly impeccable condition of a measuring cup from over 30 years ago, compared with one from recent years, has gone viral on Reddit.
Images of the two cups were shared in a post by u/No-Lavishness-4384, which has garnered almost 100,000 upvotes since it was first posted on March 7.
The post, titled, “My 4 year old measuring cup vs my grandmother’s 30+ year old measuring cup,” shows an image of faded lettering and numbers on the recent cup labelled “pyrex.” A subsequent picture shows the older cup labeled “PYREX” appearing nearly brand-new, with all of its writing clearly visible.
A caption shared with the post notes: “Mine is half useless at this point, while grandmas is still going strong.”
