They say April showers bring May flowers, and this week, southern Ontario is in for another round of blustery rain and possible thunderstorms before clearer skies and sunshine return.

As of Sunday (April 20), sunny conditions will hold throughout the day, with temperatures climbing to a high of 10 C. Light winds near 20 km/h will make it feel noticeably calmer compared to recent weeks.

Skies will stay mostly clear through the evening, with a few clouds drifting in overnight. Temperatures will dip to a mild 5 C.

Rain will move in Monday morning, bringing the chance of a thunderstorm and winds gusting up to 50 km/h. The daytime high will reach 11 C, with a moderate UV index of 3. Environment Canada recommends sun protection between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

By evening, skies will remain mostly cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers. Winds will continue …
