Temperatures are warming into the 20s across southern Ontario this week, but any hopes of sunshine may be dampened by a soggy stretch of rain and cloudy skies.

As of Sunday (May 25), skies will be mainly cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of rain. Thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon, and winds will pick up to 20 km/h. Daytime highs will reach 17 C.

Thunderstorms may return late afternoon, with breezy conditions continuing throughout the day.

By evening, skies will be partly cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of showers and lingering thunderstorms. The overnight low will dip to 7 C.

Monday will kick off with fog, which is expected to dissipate by morning. A mix of sun and cloud will follow as temperatures climb to 21 C. The UV index is expected to reach 7, which is considered high, so sunscreen, sunglasses and hats are advised …
