Residents in southern Ontario are in for a bitterly cold stretch this week, with temperatures plunging well below freezing and wind chills making it feel even colder.
According to The Weather Network, Sunday will begin with afternoon highs of -7 C, dropping to -14 C overnight. Wind chills will make it feel closer to -23 C in some areas.
Monday is expected to bring some of the harshest conditions, with morning lows of -14 C improving slightly to -10 C by the afternoon. However, temperatures will fall to -17 C by the evening, with wind chills making it feel as cold as -25 C overnight!
Tuesday continues the frigid trend, with morning and afternoon temperatures of -17 and overnight lows hitting -19. According to Environment Canada, wind chills at these levels can make outdoor activities difficult and pose risks of frostbite with prolonged exposure.
