A cold front is expected this weekend, bringing windchills below -20 C in southern Ontario.
Temperatures hit a 6 C on Tuesday at Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada. But after that mild start to the week, frigid cold is expected to move in starting on Friday.
“Very cold wind chill values are expected this weekend to kick start the holiday season,” Environment and Climate Change Canada said on X. “Much of southern Ontario could feel like -20 on Saturday morning and -25 on Sunday morning. Remember to cover up and dress warmly if you will be out and about!”
The thermometer starts to drop on Wednesday when highs of 3 C with snow expected.
Thursday and Friday, the high will be around the freezing mark. But Friday evening the temperature could drop down to -10 C overnight in Mississauga, Brampton, Durham Region, Burlington and Oakville. It will be around -8 C …
