Jan. 12 weather: More snow and cold temperatures to sweep through Ontario [Video]

Earlier this week, southern Ontario endured frigid temperatures plunging to -20 C with the wind chill. While milder conditions are expected this weekend, it will still be chilly, with some snowfall in the forecast.

For early risers hoping to catch the sunrise, Sunday’s 7:48 a.m. view is likely to be hidden behind overcast skies.

Residents across Mississauga, Brampton, Durham and Hamilton will wake up to predominantly cloudy skies, while Halton may see some morning sunshine before clouds roll in by the afternoon.

The morning will be bitterly cold, with wind chills of -12 C in Durham and a slightly colder -13 C across Mississauga, Brampton, Halton and Hamilton.

Snowfall is expected later in the day, with a 30 per cent chance in Durham Region, 40 per cent in Mississauga, Brampton and Hamilton, and a higher likelihood of 60 per cent in Halton.

Brisk winds between 15 and 20 km/h will also move in across the cities.
