Jan. 7 weather: Snow and 50km winds for parts of southern Ontario [Video]

Tuesday is expected to bring a mix of weather conditions including snow, cloudy skies and a risk of frostbite to some parts of southern Ontario.

Environment and Climate Change Canada is calling for flurries to start the day with a 40 per cent chance of snow in Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, Toronto and across the GTA.

You can expect mainly cloudy skies throughout the day and a daytime high of around -4 C that will feel more like -15 C with the wind chill, and winds gusting up to 50 km/h.

Those temperatures will drop even further in the evening with an overnight low of -13 C, but feeling more like -20 C with the wind chill.

Some parts of the province will be at a frostbite risk overnight with temperatures of around -28 C with the wind chill expected in Gravenhurst, Haliburton, Petawawa, Algonquin Park, Burk’s Falls and elsewhere.
