Fox News’ Jessica Tarlov scolded her The Five co-host Jeanine Pirro on Tuesday for supporting a trade war with Canada, claiming it was easy for her to support because she has “enough money to survive it.”
During a debate about President Donald Trump’s tariffs on Canada and fears that they could hurt the U.S. economy, Pirro argued:
He is protecting American industry. Why rely on Canada for energy anyway? And that’s part of the problem. We need to bring manufacturing into this country and countries are buckling, big corporations are buckling, they’re talking about coming here because they don’t wanna be taxed. This is gonna benefit the American worker, American manufacturing, and domestic production, and it’s going to preserve jobs. So stop with the tariffs.
