More sunshine is on the way for southern Ontario on Sunday, but skies may appear hazy as wildfire smoke continues to drift through the region.

Sunrise is set for 5:36 a.m. For those hoping to catch it, visibility may be slightly obscured by lingering smoke. While no air quality advisory has been issued by Environment Canada, those sensitive to smoke may still experience mild symptoms such as eye, nose or throat irritation, headaches or a dry cough. In less common cases, symptoms may include wheezing, chest tightness or persistent coughing.

Environment Canada has previously mentioned that certain groups — including people over 65, pregnant individuals, infants and young children, those with chronic health conditions, and people who work outdoors — are more likely to be affected by poor air quality. These individuals are encouraged to reduce or reschedule strenuous outdoor activities and seek medical attention if symptoms arise.
