Kevin O’Leary Plans to Pitch Trump On US-Canada Union [Video]

Canadian businessman and Shark Tank television personality Kevin O’Leary told Fox Business he is going down to Mar-a-Lago to pitch President-elect Donald Trump on joining the U.S. in an economic union with Canada.

Recently, Trump floated the idea of annexing Canada in exchange for lowering their tariffs and also referred to the country’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as “governor” of the 51st state.

During a Thursday interview on Fox Business, O’Leary said Trump should erase the borders between Canada and the U.S. by creating an economic union between the two countries. O’Leary also noted the economic merger should create a common currency and start a new “almost EU like passport: for the U.S. and Canada.”

The Canadian businessman then claimed that “half of Canadians are interested in the union,” but do not want Trudeau to negotiate the deal.
