Kingsbury earns dual moguls silver at Deer Valley World Cup, 8th medal this season [Video]

Canadian freestyle skier Mikaël Kingsbury returned to the World Cup podium Saturday night with a silver medal in the men’s dual moguls event at Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah.

The Deux-Montagnes, Que., native was defeated by Japan’s Ikuma Horishima in the men’s big final.

Kingsbury, who holds the all-time World Cup wins record with 96, now has six golds and two silvers across 10 events this season. He’s ranked first in the men’s overall moguls World Cup standings with 807 points, leading France’s Benjamin Cavet by 264 points.

The 32-year-old holds a 312-215 point lead over Sweden’s Filip Gravenfors in the dual moguls standings, and a 495-338 point lead over Horishima in the moguls standings.

Kingsbury finished 16th in Friday night’s individual moguls competition, ending his four-event winning streak.
