Less than a week to go, some GTA voters still dont have advance polling details [Video]

With advance voting set to begin in less than a week, some residents in the Greater Toronto Area may be surprised and even concerned to learn that polling locations for several ridings have yet to be confirmed.

As of Saturday, individuals who enter postal codes for several Ontario ridings — including Burlington, Burlington North–Milton West and Bowmanville–Oshawa North — into Elections Canada’s Voter Information Service are met with the same message:

“Polling locations are still being confirmed. Please check back here soon for the most up-to-date information on your polling place.”

It’s unclear how many ridings across the province or country are affected or when the information will be updated.

Elections Canada has not provided further clarification on its website as to why the polling location details are currently unavailable for some residents.
