Locals gathered with Mexican flags and posters in the downtown area.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Dozens of locals in the Corpus Christi area gathered downtown for a peaceful protest on Sunday. Many carried Mexican flags mixed with the American flags while others carried posters as drivers passed by honking in support.
In attendance were locals of all ages gathered near the side of the street to show their support against recent immigration policies. Also showing their support were the Indigenous People of the Coastal Bend who didn’t plan the protest but supported it.
A few other protests happening over the weekend were held in Florida, North Carolina, California and in Houston, Texas. Those rallies were a lot larger then the one happening in Corpus Christi.
Marchers waved Mexican and American flags they even carried banners and chanted slogans to voice their frustrations with President Trump’s immigration policies.
