Local talent dominates Ontario Country Music Awards nominations [Video]

There will be plenty of local flavour at the 13th annual Country Music Association of Ontario awards in Hamilton next month, with two dozen artists, industry professionals and even radio stations from the Golden Horseshoe up for provincial honours.

Durham and Niagara regions led the nominations with six each, while Halton Region has five up for country music honours.

Durham:

• Robyn Ottolini from Uxbridge is nominated for Album of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, and will perform at the Song & Stories showcase on May 30 and the Award Show on June 1
• Meghan Patrick from Bowmanville is nominated for Album of the Year
• Griffin Palmer from Pickering is nominated for Songwriter of the Year
• Barbara Doran of New Moon Junction from Port Perry is nominated for Group or Duo of the Year
• Connor Scheffler from Bowmanville directed “Moonshines” by Owen Riegling, which is nominated for Music Video of …
