A kitchen fire on Thursday morning had fire crews in action in the 200 block of Conway Drive.

The report was made around 7:43 a.m. Fire officials said there were no injuries in the incident, however the damage is estimated to be more than $200,000.

Fire officials believe unattended cooking is the suspected cause. Platoon Chief Colin Shewell said Fire Investigators are on scene to determine more.

Neighbours said they could see smoke billowing from the eavestroughs when fire crews arrived on scene.
