London Health Sciences Centre welcomes first baby of 2025 [Video]

London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) announced the first baby of the New Year was born at 12:05 a.m. on Wednesday.

Baby Mariya Halbouni was welcomed by parents Eman Darwiche and Ahmed Halbouni. She weighed 7lb 1oz.

To welcome the first baby of 2025, London Shoppers Drug Mart franchises have donated a large gift basket for the baby and her family.

In addition to the Shoppers Drug Mart gift basket, London Health Sciences Foundation is including a hand knitted baby blanket and Children’s Health Foundation has included a onesie and a teddy bear for the first-born baby of the New Year.

LHSC welcomes more than 6,000 newborns each year.
