London police recover stolen vehicle, lay charges [Video]

The London Police Service has arrested two people following the recovery of a stolen vehicle last week.

On Dec. 25 around 4:30 p.m., a man was driving a vehicle in the east end when it needed maintenance. The LPS said the driver went up to a home on Crumlin Sideroad, asking for gas for the car.

The homeowner called the LPS, as he thought the driver might have been impaired.

Police arrived, finding the male suspect in the driver’s seat of the car and a woman in the passenger seat. Officers learned the vehicle was reported stolen on Dec. 14.

A search turned up break-and-enter tools and identification belonging to another person.

As a result, a 33-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman, both of London, are facing charges for possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, possession of break-in instruments and …
