Book publisher Lonely Planet has released The LGBTQ+ Travel Guide Global, a comprehensive resource designed to help LGBTQ+ travellers explore the world with confidence.

Authored by neurodivergent queer travel writer Alicia Valenski, the book goes beyond traditional travel recommendations, offering personal insights from LGBTQ+ locals in over 50 destinations worldwide.

The attractive-looking guide serves as both an informative resource and a celebration of LGBTQ+ culture. Featuring stunning photography, illustrated maps, and practical advice, it highlights destinations across the USA, South America, Europe, South Africa, Asia, Canada, and Australia.

According to Chris Zeiher, Lonely Planet’s Senior Director of Trade Sales & Marketing, the guide was created in response to a clear need: “Booking.com recently revealed that 59 per cent of LGBTQ+ travellers have experienced discrimination while on holiday. We recognised the queer community was looking for a guide that understands them.”
