The long weekend weather may be cooler than normal in southern Ontario.
Temperatures were expected to soar to highs around 27 C on Friday in the GTA but it is expected to cool off for the weekend, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada.
Cloudy skies with a 60 per cent chance of showers are expected on Saturday in Mississauga, Brampton, Toronto, Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton and Durham Region. The high could reach 20 C.
The showers could continue into the evening when the temperature drops to around 11 C.
On Sunday, sunnier weather is expected with a high of 17 C dropping to 4 C overnight.
A clear, sunny day is forecast on the holiday Monday with a high of 16 C and low down to 5 C.
The normal temperatures for this time of year are highs around 19 C and lows of 7 C, according to Environment Canada.
