MadeGood granola bar recall: FDA raises recall to a Class II level [Video]

Select MadeGood granola bars sold in the U.S. and Canada were recalled in December 2024 for possibly containing metal.

The recall is now considered a “Class II” recall, meaning the products could cause “temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote,” according to the FDA.

Manufacturer Riverside Natural Foods issued a voluntary recall in December 2024 of certain batches of MadeGood granola bars due to the “potential presence of a metal piece in the product.” No injuries have been reported in connection with the recall, according to the FDA safety alert in December.

The recalled products were produced between January and November 2024.

Customers who purchased MadeGood granola bars are urged to check the UPCs and best-by dates to see if they have the recalled food products. Those with the affected products can request a full refund at the original point of purchase.
