Healthy snack food company MadeGood is recalling a number of granola bars sold in Ontario and across Canada due to a potential hazard.

The company issued a voluntary recall after seven customer complaints, saying there is a “very small risk” some of their granola bar products may contain a piece of metal.

MadeGood describes the piece of metal as a small, flat brush bristle.

The affected products were made between January and November of this year and the company is advising consumers to check UPCs and expiry dates on any packaging on items already purchased.

The granola bars in question include the flavours Chocolate Banana, Chocolate Chip (regular and mini), Mixed Berry, Cookies & Crème, Strawberry, and variety packs.

Chocolate Drizzled granola bars in the flavours Birthday Cake, Vanilla and Cookie Crumble are also affected.

The full list of affected products can be found here.

MadeGood says purchasers can return the recalled products to the store where they were purchased for a full refund.
