Air Transat has just announced that it will be operating a new non-stop international route from Toronto Pearson Airport starting in December.

In a news release, the airline said that the route will be between Toronto Pearson and Georgetown, Guyana.

“With this new route, we are expanding our presence in South America while optimizing the use of our aircraft,” said Transat chief revenue officer Sebastian Ponce.

“This addition meets a strong demand from the Guyanese diaspora in Canada, while also tapping into a growing market and a leisure clientele curious to discover new destinations.”

The flights will operate twice weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays from Dec. 16 to April 24, 2026.

The flights are subject to regulatory approvals and will be available for booking “within the next few days,” the release said.
