MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A man was arrested for aggravated robbery, according to Memphis Police Department.
Lazander Mitchell is charged with aggravated robbery.
On Monday, Feb. 24, at 7:00 p.m., police responded to a shooting at the Marathon gas station at 1671 Ontario Avenue.
Officers made the scene and found a 17-year-old with bruising and abrasions to his face.
He told police that he was standing by his car at the gas station when he was approached by two men.
One of the men was armed with an AR-style pistol, according to the affidavit.
According to the affidavit, they first asked the 17-year-old if he had any money, then the second suspect told the armed suspect to, “Take everything he’s got.”
The men took money out of the teen’s hand and pants.
According to the affidavit, he then resisted, and the men forced the teen to the ground and began to kick, punch, knee, and hit him with a weapon.
