SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane police arrested a man in a drive-by shooting early Thursday morning in north Spokane.
According to SPD, multiple 911 callers reported gunshots near Rockwell Avenue and Alberta Street.
SPD says a vehicle pulled up to a home on Rockwell and shot at the house where people returned fire around 4:30 a.m.
SPD located a nearby vehicle with damage from bullets on the outside. Officers detained a person in the car.
Officers learned women and a child were in the home shot at and SWAT responded.
SPD says two women and a child exited the home and were escorted to safety. Then a few minutes later, 23-year-old Steven Davis also exited the home and was arrested. No one was injured.
Davis faces charges of unlawful possession of a gun and second-degree assault.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges and arrested may be forthcoming.
