Police in Peel Region have arrested and charged a “known” sex offender in connection with a recent indecent act investigation in Brampton.

Police say on Dec. 20 they were called to the area of Madronna Gardens and Montoya Gate, north of Sandalwood Parkway West and east of Chinguacousy Road, for reports of a man allegedly driving around the area in a Honda Fit committing an indecent act.

Richard Walker, 50, of Brampton, was arrested on Dec. 21 following an investigation.

He has been charged with committing an indecent act in a public place and failure to comply with prohibition order.

The accused was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

Investigators believe that there may be additional victims and are urging them to contact PRP’s 22 Division at 905-453-2121, ext. 2233, or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
