Man dies from injuries sustained in September McCook Co. crash [Video]

MCCOOK COUNTY, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – The Department of Public Safety announced that a Lennox man had died on Tuesday from injuries sustained in a September 19 crash in McCook County.

The names of those involved have not been released.

According to authorities, a 2022 GMC Yukon was traveling west on SD Highway 42 near the intersection of 451st Avenue.

The driver of a 2002 Ford Ranger was traveling south on 451st Avenue and stopped at the stop sign at the intersection with SD 42.

The vehicles collided upon entering the intersection.

The driver and three passengers of the Yukon received minor injuries.

The driver of the Ranger sustained life-threatening injuries and passed away from his injuries on Oct. 1.

The passenger of the Ranger sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
