Man stabbed in popular Ontario tourist area with 6-year-old daughter nearby: police [Video]

A man was stabbed outside of a vehicle in a popular tourist area of Niagara Falls while his six-year-old daughter was in the back seat, police say.

Niagara Regional Police said that at around 8:35 p.m. on Tuesday, which was New Year’s Eve, emergency crews responded to the area of  Victoria Avenue and Centre Street.

That’s right at the north end of Clifton Hill, which is one of the main tourist spots in Niagara Falls.

Police said the victim, a 38-year-old man, was found with serious injuries “related to a stab wound” and was taken to an out-of-town hospital in critical condition. As of Thursday morning, he was reported to be in critical but stable condition.

The investigation determined that the suspect was driving a vehicle with the victim and his six-year-old daughter in the back seat, police said.
