A man entered a woman’s bedroom and threatened to kill her during a nighttime home invasion in Ontario this week, police say.
Hamilton police said that at around 4:45 a.m. on Tuesday, a woman woke up to the sound of glass breaking in her home on Garner Road West in Ancaster.
“Minutes later, an unknown male walked into her bedroom demanding the keys to her vehicle,” police said.
“The victim stated that the male also requested her phone and said that he would kill her if she did not comply.”
The man then gestured as if he had a weapon in his pocket and after a “brief standoff,” he left the home in an unknown direction, police said.
The culprit is described as 28 to 32 years old with an average build and he was wearing a blue or black hoodie sweater with the hood up, police said.
