ST. LOUIS — A man was leaving his south St. Louis home early Monday morning, when he was met by an armed suspect, the victim told investigators. The gunman aimed his weapon at the victim before taking the victim’s phone and wallet.
The victim had his car running to let it warm up while he ran back into his home for about five minutes, he told officers with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
It happened around 5:20 a.m. in the 3600 block of Alberta Street, a block west of Grand Boulevard, in St. Louis’s Dutchtown neighborhood.
“The suspect took money from the wallet and then entered the 27-year-old’s 2007 Mercury Montego and fled from the scene,” a Monday morning SLMPD statement said. “The investigation is ongoing.”
