Police say that a man who was allegedly nude in public on several occasions is facing charges.

Today, Guelph police announced that a local man who has allegedly been spotted in parks and on trails in the nude has been arrested.

Police allege that between May 4 and 13, at least six people contacted officers to report encounters with a nude male while using public recreational spaces. He was identified and spoken to by police following the third incident, but officers allege he continued to appear in public while naked.

Children were present for some of the interactions, police say.

On Wednesday afternoon, a 50-year-old Guelph man was located downtown and arrested. He was charged with mischief and breaching a probation order.

He was held for a bail hearing on May 15.
