An Ontario man has won a top prize on a scratch ticket for the second time after buying the ticket from the same store where he won big before.
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation said in a release that Roger Martineau of Metcalfe, located in eastern Ontario, won $250,000 from playing Instant Casino Night.
The retiree and father of one has been playing the lottery with the OLG for 40 years, the release said.
In November 2020, he hit a top prize, also worth $250,000, on an Instant Turbo ticket that he bought at the same store where he purchased his latest winning ticket.
Less than five years later, Martineau has collected his latest big win.
“I had just bought three tickets when I glanced over my shoulder and noticed one I’d never seen before: Instant Casino Night,” he said.
