A meteorological mix of moving parts across Manitoba on Friday will bring everything from snow in some areas, clearing skies in others and falling afternoon temperatures.
Temperatures will drop Friday afternoon in Winnipeg and the southeast to the mid-minus teens in the wake of a cold front that passed over the province Thursday.
Daytime highs in the southwest will remain a handful of degrees above normal.
A ridge of high pressure moving in behind the front will bring some clearing, so much of the south should also see a mix of sun and cloud today.
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) said extreme cold may return to northern Manitoba on Friday night into the weekend.
Meanwhile, a low pressure system slumping south out of the Northwest Territories is also heading toward Manitoba on Friday.
