MICHAEL POPOVE –Dawson Creek firefighters made a grizzly discovery after responding to a shed fire early Monday morning.
Emergency crews were called to a residence at the corner of 8th Street and 92nd Avenue just after 5am.
They arrived to find a detached shed fully engulfed in flames. After extinguishing the fire, firefighters discovered a man’s body inside the shed.
A fire inspector from the Office of the Fire Commissioner was at the scene for much of Tuesday afternoon. A cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
Dawson Creek RCMP tell CJDC TV News that there is nothing to indicate the death was suspicious in nature.
CJCTV TV News has learned the name of the deceased but is choosing not to make it public at this time.
